More on Rule 8.1

Here's a gent who knows what he's on about. Silvio Danailov, manager and coach of joint world number 2, Veselin Topalov, says:

I was reading everything I could find about him [Fischer] and my idea was that we had to copy Fischer. What he was doing. He was fighting till the end, he was first writing the move and then playing it, all these things. - in NIC No. 5/2005 p.33

On this website:

as well as at least 1 that I cannot find right now, Fischer is quoted to have said that players should *not* be allowed to write down their moves first before playing it.

Nice blog by the way!

But that is just hearsay, isn't it? According to our very reliable source, Mr Danailov, Fischer was writing down the moves first before playing them.

I think this professor is BS artist. How dare he?
